About Me
9 months old with Santa. Also the youngest photo I have of myself.
My name is Matthew Wollman. I was born February 25th, 1976 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the second child of Stanley and Antoinette Wollman. I grew up in Plymouth, with my older brother H.A., my younger brother Andrew and my youngest sister Becky. We lived in my parent's house; they are still happily married after 34 years.

My memory is not so good so I don't remember much before high school. Plymouth North High School was a torturous experience for me, not with classes, but with my classmates and my ineptitude with social encounters. I spent all my time in the drafting room drawing and on the computers. I also spent after school with the drama club working the light and soundboards. I graduated from Plymouth North in 1994.

I had enlisted to the Army prior to graduation and shipped out to basic training in July. I spent four years in the service. In the service I was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina. I met some really good people in the Army, had some really great experiences and did a lot of growing up. I worked part-time at my favorite coffee shop and hung out at a lot of bars.
Right after the Army I was 22 and decided to grow a beard.
After I got out of the service I worked for Kinko's, Waltham. There I met my good friend Matt Staub. I also lived in Heidi's basement in Somerville, MA and worked part-time as a barback/bartender at the Backstage Bar & Grill in Faneuil Hall. I got Andrew started there on the weekends and we spent a lot of time together and got really close again. In August of 1999, my brother and I moved to Los Angeles, California.

I transferred within Kinko's to their Sunset and Vine branch. I learned a lot about life and society living with my brother in LA for a year. While I was out there I took the time to enjoy the beautiful beaches and learned a bit about Hollywood production. After a year there though, I missed Massachusetts and moved back home leaving my brother to pursue his own dreams.

I moved back in with my parents and took a job with the Boston Phoenix as a Desktop Support Specialist. It was a very frustrating job and I left after six months. I took an interim job with my friend Ryan Gantz at Southers Marsh Golf Course getting them ready to open. That was a very satisfying job doing labor in the sun for a few months. I then got a job at Harvard University again doing Desktop support. I also moved to Boston to be closer to work.
Now, I have been working at Harvard University for three years, live in Brighton and going to Harvard Extension School for two years. I also got married to my girlfriend of two years PeggyAnn Kidney in October 2004. Life is good and we are now looking to a promising future of a home purchase and starting a family.
